Internship (Merchandiser)  

Job Purpose

As a Merchandiser Intern, you will support in the execution of merchandising strategies by ensuring the right product orders are placed. This includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing suppliers and assisting with day-to-day operations.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Conduct research on market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor analysis to support the development of effective merchandising strategies and product assortments.
  • Assist in development and execution of merchandising strategies, contributing to product assortment planning and supporting the buying and sourcing processes to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Acts as liaison between B2B and B2C teams, as well operations department, to facilitate clear and efficient communications, ensuring smooth coordination across various functions to achieve merchandising objectives.
  • Manage relationships with supplier and vendors, ensuring timely deliveries, organizing meetings, and addressing any issues related to product supply and quality to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date product details, including pricing and specifications, ensuring alignment across all the systems and platform to provide consistent information to all the stakeholders.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as creating SKUs, updating product files, and maintaining accurate records, to ensure smooth internal operations and data integrity.

Vital skills for this role include:

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with good problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth collaboration and smooth operations.
  • Passion for supply chain, merchandise, and e-commerce is a plus.
