Junior Executive (Planogram & Merchandising)   (Vacancy Closed)

Job Summary:
As a Junior Executive in Planogram and Merchandising, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of planograms and merchandising strategies to optimize product placement, enhance visual presentation, and drive sales within our convenience stores. You will work closely with senior merchandising professionals to ensure that planograms are executed effectively and aligned with overall business objectives. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

You will play a part in:

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of planograms for convenience stores, ensuring alignment with merchandising guidelines, product assortment, and promotional initiatives.
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams to develop planograms that optimize product placement, shelf space allocation, and visual presentation to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Utilize planogram software and tools to create visual representations of product layouts, including shelf arrangements, product facings, and signage.
  • Coordinate with Store Operations team to ensure accurate and timely execution of planograms across multiple locations.
  • Conduct regular store visits to audit planogram compliance, assess merchandising standards, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in analyzing sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to evaluate planogram effectiveness and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Assist in conducting category-specific planogram reviews to ensure equitable allocation of space across all segments and brands. Make adjustments as necessary to accommodate product additions or removals while adhering to merchandising standards.
  • Provide support for merchandising initiatives, including product launches, seasonal transitions, and promotional campaigns.
  • Assist with additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Vital skills for this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail merchandising, planogramming, or related role.
  • Proficiency in planogram software (e.g., JDA Space Planning) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with retail operations, product lifecycle management, and inventory management principles is a plus.
